All in Never Stop Learning
It's the last day of May, and my May Design Challenge is finally done! I fell a bit short of my daily goal but I learned an incredible amount in a short period of time. Check out the final two tutorials I completed today, courtesy of one of my favorite design teachers, Teela Cunningham.
Today I created brushed steel and chiseled text effects in Photoshop using two different tutorials. I aslo used what I've learned in past tutorials to tweak and improve my final image. My May Design Challenge is paying off!
If you haven't noticed, I'm a day behind (again). I am learning that May was perhaps not the wisest choice for a tutorial-a-day challenge. At any rate, while it's technically Day 16, here is Day 15's tutorial: creating a double exposure effect in Photoshop.
For Day 14 of my May Design Challenge, I created a typographic illustration in Illustrator with help from a tutorial from Spoon Graphics.
🍕🍕🍕 Friday night is ALWAYS pizza night. Before I met my now-husband, I basically subsisted on pizza, beer, and Diet Coke. This Adobe Illustrator pizza logo tutorial and I were MEANT TO BE.
OH MY GOD, I MADE AN ANIMATED GIF OUT OF MY OWN DRAWINGS! This was a super fun Day 12 tutorial for my May Design Challenge.
My drawing skills are pretty minimal, so it was cool that today's Photoshop tutorial helped me transform a photograph to a pencil sketch in under five minutes. I feel like an artist!
For Day 10 of my May Design Challenge, I turned snowflakes into flowers. This easy Every-Tuesday tutorial teaches the fundamental skills for creating circular patterns from geometric shapes.
